Every drama recording does not always make a memory but today’s drama recording on Disability was special. Sharada Adhikari was not a professional drama artist but her presence in the drama was significant. And as she touched the Brail script and delivered her dialogue it spelled magic.
Being visually impaired from Birth Sharada Adhikari posses a strength that captivates many.
She is strong, passionate about life and independently works as receptionist at Helen Keller organization.
When I approached her for the drama ‘Naina Ko Katha’ she was overwhelmed and when she shared that she was an ardent listener of ‘Saathi Sanga Man Ka Kura’ and I couldn’t hide my sheer excitement when she recognized my voice and congratulated me of making an positive impact in many people’s life.
What help’s you stay positive ? I asked her as we walked along the way to the EA office ; Sharada smiled and counter’s ‘Can’t blind people be positive’ I was thrown aback with her answer and stood speechless but she continued and said ‘There is always more to life, but you need to believe that there is more for everyone’. That answer really made me believe that able or disabled what was needed was hope and an positive approach towards life.
