TANNERI AWAZ: SSMK training FM Radio Producers in eastern development region

A training sessionTo build youth Radio Producer's capacity in producing quality youth program, Saathi Sanga Manka Kura (SSMK) has started series of radio production training for youth FM producers. The training is focus on radio program production using/incorporating life skill methodology.

Currently team of three, SSMK producers/lead hosts, Sangita Budhathoki, Binayak Aryal and Kaustuv Mani Pokharel is in Biratnagar conducting third series of the training. Gemma Quilt, international…. Despite of Bandhas, Producers from eleven FM stations has participated in nine days training started from 3rd of February 2008.

In previous two series, SSMK has already conducted two trainings. The first training was conducted for far western and mid western region in Surkhet and the second one for western region in Nawalparasi. Till this phase, Producers from 32 FM Stations has already been trained and some of them has already produced some episodes using life skill methodology.

As the final round of the series, next training will be held for Central development region. The training has been supported by UNICEF Nepal.
